Plantation shutters are hinged panels with wide, adjustable louvers, mounted to a frame that fits your window opening. Tilt the louvers to let in as much or as little light as you want, or swing the panels open to clear the window completely. Because they are custom-built for each opening, shutters look like part of the house rather than something hung on it.
